In 2019, U.S. News and World Report ranks Smithville’s High School Second “Best High School” in Missouri and First Missouri High School in the Kansas City Metro.
Smithville is a growing community and is on the cusp of major change. The Smithville city leadership has engaged FutureIQ, a growth management consulting firm, to conduct Think Tank and Community Engagement Sessions to develop their Strategic Planning Vision. This process began this year and hopes to complete the Vision process early in the coming year.
I could talk about this subject at length but suffice to say that looking at this issue wide-eyed and willing to do the heavy lifting bodes very well for this community. Of four possible plausible scenarios the citizen group aligned with a scenario entitled “All that and a Lake Too!”.
